Due to the water needing to be turned off for maintenance at the elementary/middle school on the evening of Thursday, September 21, the middle school girls' volleyball game will be played at Upton High School. Also, Bobcat Adventures will not take place on Thursday after school.
Upton boys' won the 2A state golf championship! Come line the streets for a parade and welcome them home. They should be coming in between 7:25 and 7:30 so come find a good spot early! Let's celebrate this accomplishment as well as all the athletes who competed hard.
Lots of hardware from state golf! Ciarra Moore finishes 2nd after a tiebreaker playoff at first. Bridger Bruce also finished strong in 3rd place. And also earning All-State with Timberman, Bruce, and Moore were Ethan Schiller and Kailer Duarte.
CHAMPIONS ALERT! Upton boys' golf win the 2A state championship! Logan Timberman also earns his first individual title after shooting a 69 on day two! The rest of the team was rounded out by Bridger Bruce (3rd place), Ethan Schiller, Kailer Duarte, Landon Butler and coach Beau Garcia. Not competing were Nic Schiller and Chord Toth.
The Superintendent of Public Instruction, Megan Degenfelder, paid the high school a visit on Monday! She was interested in viewing Upton High School's unique personalized learning model as well as its Career and Technical Education programs. Learn more about the visit at weston7.org.

After being nominated by the Weston County Chapter, The Wyoming Historical Society presented second place in the Junior Activities, Grades 9-12 category to Reece Riehemann, Addison Gustaf and Karstyn Garcia for their community service project through their Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter in Upton hIgh School. Participating with Jackie Cowger, an Upton resident and woman veteran of military service, these three students assisted Mrs Cowger to present the veterans’ wall of fame, the school assembly, and celebration of Veterans Daly. The students digitized the 300 plus images and information cards that were displayed in the hallway of the Upto Elementary School.
Through the many years of effort by Mrs. Cowger, there is always a lot of enthusiasm for the project, but through the efforts of these students, they redesigned the process of presenting the wall of fame, making it more informative and easier to put up at the beginning of November and take down at the end of November. We congratulate all three of these ambitious and innovative FBLA students. @wyofbla
Upton FFA will have a kick-off meeting this Wednesday at 7pm in the high school commons. All members ( middle and high school) and parents are encouraged to attend to learn about upcoming events and opportunities. We will also provide pizza! We hope to see you there!

Upton High School was rated Exceeding Expectations by the Wyoming Department of Education for 2022-2023 school year! It was one of just 10 high schools in the state to receive that mark. Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and staff for their dedication!
