Our FFA Chapter is going to be pulling in about 6:00 p.m. from the rest stop direction. Come line the streets to cheer them on and congratulate them for their Chapter of the Year victory!

Help us welcome our FFA Chapter who earned Chapter of the Year for the second straight year! We will receive them with a parade/escort. They should be rolling into town around 5:00 or so. Stay posted for a more accurate time of arrival.

The 2024-2025 UHS National Honor Society induction will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the commons at the high school. Please join us as we induct our newest members, Rylee Donner, Lilly Jackson, and Hannah Stirmel. Refreshments will be served after the induction ceremony.

FBLA STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

The Wyoming High School Future Business Leaders of America had their state conference in Laramie, Wyoming on March 19-21 at the College of Business on the University of Wyoming Campus. There were over 600 members present in 36 chapters. In attendance for Upton High School were19 members, advisers Mrs. Karla Ludemann and Amanda Knapp. Attendees wore business attire to the opening session, workshops, presentations, tests, recognition & campaign session, college career fair and exhibits, and closing ceremony. Casual attire was worn to the night activities which included a movie and dance.
The opening session was held on Wednesday night at the A & S Auditorium on the University of Wyoming Campus. State officers, including State Secretary Karstyn Garcia helped lead the state event. Local president Brodie Kelly introduced himself and advisor Mrs. Ludemann in a Parade of Presidents and Advisers. The Upton chapter received many awards which included: Champion Chapter Summer Starter, Champion Chapter Shaping Success, Champion Chapter Service Season, Champion Chapter CTE Celebration, and Champion +. Individual awards were given for Business Achievement to Karstyn Garcia and Brodie Kelly.
On Thursday students competed in their events at the College of Business on the University of Wyoming Campus. Amanda Knapp donated her skills and time at the conference by judging events and helping with members.
The Closing Awards Ceremony was Friday at the A & S Auditorium on the University of Wyoming Campus. Karstyn Garcia was acknowledged as the outgoing State Secretary. Upton placed top four in twelve events.

Saturday night at the Festival of Tables, the Upton Chamber of Commerce recognized Weston County School District #7 as the Business of the Year! We would like to thank the Chamber, its members, and all of our community partners for this recognition and for the continued support and collaboration we have in our community! Pictured are some of the staff and students who were at the Festival of Tables along with Upton Chamber of Commerce President, Kas Bishop. It's a Great Day to Be a Bobcat!


The Upton High School choir under the direction of Mrs. Rushton performed the National Anthem at tonight's Rapid City Rush Hockey game. Great job Bobcats!
